Nice to have someone to run with this week, really pushed me. Started off feeling a bit bad, but got into it well, then died on no.9. Nice vv slow warm down and into the gym for some very well needed stretches

IMRA Trail Race - Devils Glen
Not really feeling that great - legs tired and a bit full of food. Tough course, v steep at the beginning, then a long gradual climb on the 2nd loop which made me crawling. Happy to see Eadaoin on the turn to come home, who gave me much needed motivation

Saw Joe this morning who was initially worried about a small fracture in the kneecap, but hes pretty happy its just bruising on the bone and some rest and anti-inflammatory should be ok to take some swelling down

Felt pretty bad on the 5's, seemed to be putting a lot of effort in with not much speed in return. Had Ruairi with me who was easy running (hahah lol) for the last 3 which helped. 45s felt good
Knee really sore again, especially on cool down, so going to visit Joe the Physio on Thursday

Easy 30. VV tired understandably. Knee pretty sore from last Wednesday. No pain in this while racing at the weekend, but bad on cool downs etc. Asked a physio and probably just bruising over the bone

Roisin Long, Me, Aoife McCavana
Roisin set me off in 9th. V clean run (ironic, got vvvvv muddy). Hard to read some of my map from the run, but didnt loose any time anyway. Weird as I didnt see anyone other than the first few controls and the last few controls so had no idea how I did, however turned out pretty good - came in 8th.

JK Long - Beaudesert
Aim to catch Clodagh (3mins), so went out with this in mind. Caught sight of her on the way to no.3, then caught her property at 4. Stayed together until spectator both pushing each other on - was nice to have her there. She was strong and pulling away on the tracks/hills, but I was faster in terrain/at the controls. Left her just after spectator when she took a slightly different rough, never saw her again (I beat her by 8 mins in the end). Very clean nav which is good to see despite pushing hard, even at the end.
