Had to park in a 10 minute bay when dropping the kids at squash so thought I might as well drive over to Reabold to do my run this week. Heel was good across the grass at the start, got a bit sore going up the hills then got better again in the second half. Took it easy all the way, felt slow but comfortable. Saw a group of younger faster runners doing some hard efforts which brought back a few old painful memories.

WA Classic Day 2 at Warranine, H1.
Heel was still really sore warming up so I was really hoping for a more technical course today to give me an easier time holding tRicky off. It was a bit more difficult than day 1 but still looked pretty easy so I wasn't confident until I got to the start as tRicky was going to start his second course and told me he hadn't set a very challenging time for me.
Heel was sore from the first step to the last but I didn't really believe tRicky so tried to just ignore the pain and keep pushing. A few controls around 6/7/11 were a little trickier than they looked but still a very fast course. Didn't really lose any time and pushed as hard as I could. Passed Komy at 11 which helped motivate me through to 15 as I didn't want him doing the repass. tRicky wasn't kidding about making it easy for me so I ended up with an 8 minute margin today.

Having trouble walking afterwards but felt a bit better after a few hours digging out the big oleander in the front yard.
