River loop. Tried using the heart rate strap to see if I could use it to motivate me to try to push the heart rate up to easy run levels of 120+. As usual, it was useless any time there was a bit of breeze, but I could get a reasonable reading by putting my hand on my chest to stop my shirt flapping. I would guess I managed to get over 120 for close to half the ride and was up around 130 when there was a sustained headwind. Found it a bit more enjoyable today but had still had enough by the time I got to Fremantle. Very easy ride home from there at least.

Vague approximation of pump class on my own a bit late in the morning.

Slow run around the river, starting with Rachel and then watching her slowly disappear ahead. Turned around early and soon had Rachel come past and pull 50m ahead again, then going past the Nedlands yacht club something changed and I was able to catch up again. Rachel then had a toilet stop and I was back to struggling again, but only for a few minutes this time. Got lured into chasing a bike briefly through UWA which caused a barely perceptible spike in the pace graph. Feeling a lot better after my little surge.

Gym 1:15:00 [1]

Couldn't convince myself to go in the morning but did finally manage it after dinner. Jog there and back plus 5min on the rower, rest was just pumping iron (or plastic, iron is a bit heavy for me). 60kg squats, 40kg bench press, 30kg barbell row and clean and press plus a few other random things.
