slept:6.0 weight:67.6kg shoes: Nike Pegasus Black

Old old school 90min loop including the steep hills at the finish. Mind was willing this morning but the legs weren't. Felt better after the steep hills and a few drills and strides near the end. Ran the late shift today, much warmer than the 5am starts but I did need the extra time in bed. Lightest I have been in many years without being sick.

3k in 11:00, 3min rest, 4x400 in 80 with 1min rest
Surprisingly cold this morning. Very nice conditions for running apart from the gusty easterly. Took the short route to the oval, not a very successful warm up because when I got there I really just wanted to lie down and go to sleep.
Didn't set up the session on the gps so paced out 60m more than 7 laps for the 3k and 20m less for the 400s.
I expected the 3k to feel like a time trial and it kind of did early on but if anything it was getting easier by the end. 400s were pretty comfortable, just had to work a bit to hold the pace for the last 100 into the wind.
Saw David Cane and Saskia Letham ahead doing their long run on my warm down. I always read about their long runs and can't believe how fast they are so I ran pretty hard to catch up to see how fast they were going but only caught then 10m before my turn off. They didn't seem to be going all that fast so I guess it is mostly just the easier routes that they take.

Running 31:05 [2] 5.0 km (6:13 / km) +80m 5:45 / km
shoes: Nike Free 7.0

Easy 5k loop. Set out a little later this morning (5:30am) and it was a bit warmer than last few days but still quite nice. Felt a bit tired despite getting a lot more sleep last night (almost 5 hours compared to 1 or 2 the previous few nights). Tried to do a few drills and strides but wasn't all that successful.

3x10min at HM,10k,HM pace with 2min jog recovery.
Warm up in half light up the railway trail to Charles Rd then did the tempos on the tracks next to Charles and along the fence line. Struggled a bit today but did get into an ok sort of rhythm on the flatter sections. Did go topless today and no teeth chattering at all, quite comfortable really.
Doesn't count since it was after running but my weight was 67.3kg and body fat 3.8% after finishing.
Need to find some way of getting a bit more sleep.

Running 1:07:18 intensity: (47:18 @2) + (20:00 @3) 12.32 km (5:28 / km) +200m 5:03 / km
shoes: Nike Pegasus Black

Set out fairly early as I expected it to get warm and I wasn't sleeping anyway. Thought about going topless but glad I didn't as my teeth were chattering for the first couple of minutes even with a singlet on. Ran out Bailey Rd to the highway to stay in the streetlights then back to Strettle (dark!) and out to Mahogany Creek and along Jacoby (lit) to Coppin Rd. Starting to get a bit light by then (5:20am) so back to Charles on railway trail and home via the rehab return track. Felt pretty good for the last 20 minutes so increased the pace a bit.

Running long 1:30:51 [2] 15.11 km (6:01 / km) +300m 5:28 / km

Easy long run. Quads still sore. Started to feel a bit better after about 50 minutes but never felt great. Had a few crows follow me for a while late in the run. I think they were hoping to pick at my carcass when I dropped but they gave up eventually.

Running 40:00 [2] 6.5 km (6:09 / km) +50m 5:56 / km

Shuffled around the cemetery for a while. I was still alive after 40 minutes so I gave up and went home. Quads very sore.
