Orienteering 54:35 [3] *** 9.19 km (5:56 / km) +260m 5:12 / km
(sick) shoes: VJ Integrator

H2 at Yetar Spring. Feeling a bit better today but definitely still sick so just cruised around. Thought it would be good to practice staying relaxed and really in control of the navigation but I kind of left the brain on cruise control as well. No mistakes but not really concentrating on what I was doing so not always taking the most efficient lines and felt a bit of a waste of time as far as technique training goes. Still a nice terrain run I guess. Probably felt worse than yesterday while running, breathing felt quite restricted going uphill.

Running warm up/down 8:00 [2] 1.5 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrator

Jog to start, about 7min, and back from finish, 1min.

Junior camp training at Little Nganga. Ran about a 4k course with Bill, Oscar and Simon, then did it again in reverse half an hour later with Henry and Joe. Thought I might have run a bit too fast the first time but when Oscar was asked what was the main thing he noticed I do differently he said I go slowly. If I ever run a course with Oscar again it is going to be a lot faster. Second course was quite a bit slower mostly because Henry asked a lot of questions.

Feeling a little too sick for the hard session I had planned and couldn't find the motivation for anything less.

Running 42:52 [3] 8.7 km (4:56 / km) +100m 4:40 / km

Usual lap of KP but with Ben Corry this time. A little pain in outside of left ankle briefly early on and then a little in the left shin but that didn't last either. Felt a lot better than Monday night.

Warm up with Rachel out to Charles Rd then on to Strettle reserve 1k loop on my own. Did 3 double laps with a 3min jog recovery. First lap of each double was comfortably hard and the second a little less comfortable but still controlled. Felt quite good throughout, even felt I could have continued and picked it up again for a third lap on the first couple of efforts. Pushed a bit harder on the final lap and quite happy with the time considering I felt I had a bit in reserve all the way and even had to back off a bit towards the end because I needed to go to the toilet. Had to walk out to the toilets at Mahogany creek before jogging home. Still feeling quite fresh and comfortable on the jog home, much better than I felt at that stage of my long run on Saturday.
Warm up 5.08km 32:01
3x2.1km with 530m jog
8:10 (4:13, 3:57), 2:58
7:53 (4:01, 3:52), 3:02
7:43 (3:59, 3:44)
Walk/jog to toilets
Jog home 3.04km 14:53

Running (treadmill) 30:36 [2] 6.0 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 7.0

Easy early morning treadmill run. Feeling good.

Running 41:24 [2] 8.0 km (5:11 / km) +130m 4:47 / km
shoes: Adistar Cushion 6 blue

Easy run in KP after work. Up Poole Ave and around road towards middle of broadwalk then onto Wally Cairns course up past DNA tower and down the dual carriageway. Felt crap, freezing cold, stiff, uncoordinated and a bit weak and wobbly, only time I felt ok was when a bike came past and I chased it for a while. Enjoyed the morning treadmill run a lot more than this one.
