OA Conference sprint orienteering event.
Great course set by Dave in fun terrain for sprint orienteering. Plenty of map reading was required, but unfortunately I wasn't really on the ball with my map reading. I found it a little hard to get into race mode, and found myself just running in the general direction rather than reading my way around the buildings and obstacles.
At one point I was crippled by an insect that flew into my eye. It really stung, and I had to stop for a couple of minutes until I could open my eye. I lost a little motivation after that, but it was still good fun.

Warmer weather, and a bit windy. Feeling good though.
Late starting, so I ran solo. I tried to catch the group by going in reverse, but later I found out that they also ran in reverse.

A large group of around 20 today with both the Melbourne Midday Milers and our NAB Friends.

Covered similar territory to the Great Australia Run, but nowhere near as fast as Gabreselessi!
Felt pretty good though, and stayed up near the front of the bunch.

I never got around to running during the day, due to a lunchtime meeting.
Instead I popped out for an easy run after putting the kids to bed. I still finished before it got dark at about 8:50pm. I love daylight savings!

Test run for Thursday night at Westgarth.
I assumed that 18/20 controls would be ok for A course, but it is probably 1km too long (measured via GPS), so I'll adjust the race to 17/20.
A still and sunny morning, almost perfect for running.
