running warm up/down 11:47 [2] 1.93 km (6:06 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

orienteering 49:49 [4] *** 5.71 km (8:43 / km)
14c shoes: inov8 x talon 212

Really fun race today! It was a mass start so we took it as relay practice (even though there was no forking.) I had one mistake at 4 where I crossed the road too early and some hesitation here and there, but overall I did well in the technical areas and succeeded in my goal of always having a plan.

other (swimming) 20:00 [3]

post-race lake swimming! I was actually really tired. Also I suck at swimming. Also the dock we swam to was a lot farther than it looked.

running warm up/down 9:28 [2] 1.7 km (5:34 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

orienteering race 1:19:00 [4] *** 7.69 km (10:16 / km)
10c shoes: inov8 x talon 212

Mispunched 1. Was flustered at the start and made a route choice error of going straight instead of taking the road. The second mistake was not checking the scale, and the third mistake was not checking control codes. Rest of the course went pretty well, I made sure to have a plan at all times.

orienteering 1:01:00 [2] **** 4.08 km (14:57 / km)
9c shoes: inov8 oroc 280

Funny story I grabbed my orocs because they were dry aaand.... I left the soles at home and had to run without them. Yayyyyy!!!!
Another long training, focus on distance estimation. I really think I need to focus more on recognizing when to speed up and when to go slow, because I screwed up more controls than I didn't today. Physically felt fine but I kept having trouble reading.

running intervals 23:44 [4] 4.47 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Asics excite4 2

WOW I havent actually run fast since track ended and this was not easy!! It was good when Izzy pushed me on some of the intervals to keep up the speed.

running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.6 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: Asics excite4 2

I dunno why this cooldown felt so crappy and the workout didn't? Maybe my breathing wasn't used to the slow pace but my lungs were really struggling

conditioning 25:00 [2] 0.48 km (52:05 / km)
shoes: Asics excite4 2

ladder and pvc hurdle drills, ballistics, kettle bells

orienteering 1:00:00 [1] 4.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

rewalked most of Sunday's relay course to work through our mistakes (and, of course, avenge ourselves).

running 34:39 [2] 6.42 km (5:24 / km)
shoes: Asics excite4 2

easy run with Izzy! Weirdly I was having a lot of trouble breathing and felt on the verge of an asthma attack (which I haven't had problems with for years.) Could be not doing a straight run for a while.
