recovery cos im already bored at home. The last 2 weeks were just too much for my legs since i hadn't orienteered in 2 months and they just weren't up for that terrain at all, which is why i struggled so much particularly last week, but I'll be better off for it soon enough. However I also lost my appetite last week and couldn't manage to eat more than a few little spoons of granola before any of the races, and i still struggled to eat later in the day too. I felt really weak but i just couldn't physically eat any more. I'm thinking it was either due to a lack of sleep or lack of water. Need to sort that out in the next week or I won't be able to cope in Stockholm.

Final day of the 6 days and the best way to end it. I was so tempted to bail being extremely tired and having died on the course the past 2 days, and even more tempted after noah actually did bail. But I was convinced to go in the end and im so glad i did. An actually really enjoyable course. Just pinging about between controls on elephant tracks in such a pretty wood, so many controls out there on 3 occasions i hit a random one on the line to mine. Quite surprised to come back leading because i had a few hesitations and misses, almost mispunched and took me 5 mins 30 for #4 cos my legs wouldnt move across the open but was 2nd on the day in the end so not bad not bad. Middles are deffo my thing. Straight is great.

noah stressed me out so i ran up the hill from the car too so garmin connect says i did 188m climb for this lol

Orienteering 1:04:45 [3] 7.4 km (8:45 / km) +100m 8:12 / km
shoes: Inov8

I actually enjoyed the first half of this, no elephant tracks yet, harder nav than the rest of the week, but then i made yet another route choice error cos of my path phobia and my legs died going through the heather for the whole rest of the course. So yeah, an otherwise clean run that wasnt even a championship time...

Scottish 6 days - day 2
Nothing in my legs. Pretty easy nav but so slow in the rough stuff. Early start didnt help although there were already a fair few elephant tracks by then. Some poorer route choices too.

Running warm up/down 2:00 [2] 0.32 km (6:15 / km)
