held the pace back a bit because couldve been really bad for the shin, pretty good though. pleased to have got round this without pain, although the shin started hurting walking around a couple hours after and persisted for a few hours
missed an impressive 3 controls, think i wouldve been maybe a bit less than 1min30 slower if i didnt which i'd be happy with at this point.

originally had the plan to run. realising i would have to go on roads as it would be dark, and that there was a storm, i decided i was gonna do weights instead. over the course of the day realised that wasnt gonna happen- very sore legs. then at 7 had the urge to run so just went for this wee jog round beckett park, R quad and hamstring tight but this didnt make it any worse. also didnt make my shin worse. quite nice to get out, the storm had passed

taking the new shoes for a spin at bolton abbey. very comfy. too dark to go an further although i wouldve liked to. kept going the wrong way down hills and having to go back up them though so that added some on. caught mum and then ran the last few k with her.

7 arches. at first a steady pace felt fairly hard but eventually i got bored and started going quicker so this is quite fast for this route this time of year. wearing my mums new shoes so a bit conscious of mud

Still very sore from the fell race, and very tired. Not feeling any need to push it. A busy time school-work wise but hopefully I can keep up good training through it.

from malham fsc, up and round the hill, avoiding the cows that i predictably found on 'cowside'. still had to run through the scary sheep herd that once chased us. jogging down the track at 5:00s woo! but then started going gradually uphill again and suddenly slowed right down, walked up some of the track to make sure i saved my legs for tomorrow. and just made it back for dark.
