Swimming 40:00 [2]

Finally back in the pool. 14 length Wu, then some more stuff but did a lot of rescues today. Didn't have to do towing though which was good because Laura doesn't even cooperate on a shout rescue. Ran out of time doing that for polo.

Netball 45:00 [4]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

We had some really intense fitness stuff to start- we did a load of interval sprints. Played 1 game as WA.

Orienteering race 26:03 [3] 3.8 km (6:51 / km)
shoes: Inov8

JIRCs relay. Tara came back in 8th but not far back. Had Rachel Brown behind me at the start and we had the same course. It was a bit annoying because I was navigating to the controls and she was running past when we were close and got there first, but to be fair she did just overtake me after a bit. On no.7 everyone seemed to be going up this enormous hill and I looked at my map and was like nope so while they were struggling up the hill I was going round the bottom to spike the control. Overtook/caught up most people there. Rachel got away in the end and so did Lizzie and Caitlin who I'd caught up but I was 4th back and only 20 seconds down. Pippa absolutely smashed it on last leg and we won by 6 minutes. Laura caught up about 5 minutes to take 2nd for the second Yorkshire team, which definitely helped us win the overall girls competition. Pretty successful jircs.

Orienteering race 35:49 [3] 4.89 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

JIRCs individual. Was a pretty decent run except for getting lost when I was nearly at no.5. I just kept going up the hill and was able to relocate on the ridge so I didn't lose as much time as I might've done. Not too unhappy about finishing 5th, and I was about 4 minutes ahead of 6th.

Not sure how I managed it but I'm in the A team for netball, which means training on monday and friday.

Netball 45:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Trials. Played really badly... but I think I'll still get into the B team.

Running warm up/down 8:40 [2] 1.35 km (6:25 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

Orienteering race 1:22:05 [3] 7.22 km (11:22 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

Absolute nightmare. Worst run(walk) ever.

Note

My legs were so tired today and yesterday so I think I could do with a rest from running until next weekend. I still have netball and PE to be fair.

Running (Parkrun) 24:38 [3] 5.0 km (4:56 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Legs got really tired and ended up really slow. 40 odd seconds behind pb and 35 slower than last week.

Running warm up/down 7:40 [1] 1.1 km (6:58 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Running 35:16 [3] 5.17 km (6:49 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Started off okay but now far through started feeling faint and struggling to breath. Had to stop. Carried on really slow deciding to cut the run short and felt horrible.

Monday Sep 12, 2016 #

Netball 30:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Few games. Played quite well.

Saturday Sep 10, 2016 #

Running 24:02 [3] 5.0 km (4:48 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Parkrun without Dad this time, so I was running alone. First parkrun where I didn't get a PB which I was a bit annoyed at because I was feeling good at the start and there's always been something wrong before. But I wasn't far off at all to be fair.

Thursday Sep 8, 2016 #

Running 38:35 [2] 5.55 km (6:57 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

With mum. Didn't really mind going slowly.

Tuesday Sep 6, 2016 #

Running 44:17 [3] 7.3 km (6:04 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 32

Seven arches with Dad. Struggled to keep up at some points, but at least i didn't have that weird pain in my stomach. I did have stitches in both sides for the first k though.

Running warm up/down 4:00 [2] 0.7 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Inov8

Jogging along the beach. Harder when we turned around into the wind. Same stomach pain. Really hurt. And again, it stopped when we started training. Kind of weird.

Orienteering (YHJS) 1:03:45 [3] 9.25 km (6:54 / km)
shoes: Inov8

Squad training at Redcar. Relay practice. Started with an actual relay. Laura came back a minute or so down on everyone else, but I caught it back and overtook them. I was pretty happy about it because I had a bit of a mare last time on this area. The map was still pretty bad but I learnt to not rely on the individual features too heavily as lots of big contour features weren't mapped. Next we did a trains exercise which I did okay on, but I messed up a bit when I was in front. After lunch we did another trains exercise where I managed to hold the front even though Sarah only started 30 seconds behind. Felt a lot more confident on the dunes. We did the last section of that trains course with Laura, then Megan, then a minute gap to me, then 30 again to Sarah. Nev told us to race it. Sarah beat me to the finish but she was only a couple of meters in front. I overtook Megan at no.1, even with the minute gap so I was really happy.

Running warm up/down 3:17 [2] 0.51 km (6:26 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

Jogging to the start feeling awful. Same stomach pains as my run on Wednesday. Had to keep stopping and trying to stretch it out.

Orienteering race 57:02 [3] 5.78 km (9:52 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

Ainsdale Dunes as jircs practice. Ran green.
Weirdly I can't remember my stomach hurting during the course, but I wasn't really running I guess. Navigation was pretty decent apart from 2 mistakes and one leg where I was really slow because I was too hesitant. I was just generally pretty slow. Pretty bad weather- ran in a cag which I hate but I think it was the right decision. 9 mins behind Sarah P, but she said it was a really good run and I was only 6 behind Sarah Duckworth. All in all it could've been much better but I beat Rosie by 2 minutes so I must be doing okay.

Running warm up/down 4:43 [1] 0.76 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: VJ bold

Jog back from the start, mainly because I wanted to be dry quicker.
