Interesting that they finally let us use Ipods at the quarantine, it felt so good and energizing to get my music in sync with my warm up, I was feeling so good about the race...

World Cup round 1 Switzerland, Middle F: ....but when I got to the start line and there was a TV camera staring right at me, I freaked out. I knew there's gonna be cameras all over the place, I just wasn't prepared for that AT ALL. Still, I started off nice and easy, on te level going to first control. I arrived to the ditch but no control???? F****ckk Wrong ditch... and running up and down that slope, couldn't find it... I finally found it after a long search and was so exhausted already. I started my way back to the second as

World Cup round 1 Switzerland, Middle Q: I was prepared for something very difficult ahead and it turned out to be exactly like that. Short legs with not much to orienteer with, pretty much all I did during my exchange in Swiss. From the beginning taking it easy and very focused on the map, not going as fast as the others but still making a sure route to all the controls. Keeping my head in the process. The process paid itself off today, it felt so good to stand at the finish and wait for the results to come in, I made it to the final!! (And beat 3 finish guys ;) )

World Cup round 1 Switzerland, Sprint Quali: My first race in Men Elite, just wow! Running in front of the Swiss crowd is something different and it felt so good! No mistakes but I was so tired at the end when all the climb came on one leg... I missed the final by 1min05 and that is a lot in Sprint... Still a lot to do but have to be happy that I am able to run this well this early!

World Cup round 1 Switzerland, Middle model: First off a reminder that Switzerland has a lot of darn steep climbs... But felt good in the legs! Ready for tomorrow's race!!

World Cup round 1 Switzerland, Sprint Model: a warm, very humid day, nice small village. A lot of narrow streets where you can barely fit two people at the same time. First sprint map touch in a while, but everything seemed to be in order!
