Course 2, nominal 4.6km, 150m
Still struggling with dead leg in the left leg, so jogged round without much conviction. It's been a while since I orienteered, so struggled to keep map contact etc. Had a few good legs where I found some decent cut-throughs, and a few bad ones. WIth the close campus buildings this was a bit like an extended sprint course, very interesting, although there was an odd bit of unmapped construction work and a makeshift netting fence near #17 and #18 which I avoided as it looked OOB.
http://www.kerno.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#118&co...Very hot and humid, but fitness wasn't a problem, just my ability to take a full length comfortable stride, particularly downhill where there's a lot more eccentric impact on the quads. Uphills surprisingly not too bad (e.g. legs #24, #25, where I was 5th and 6th). Tendonitis in my big toe didn't seem too bad either, sore the next day though.
