Orienteering race (Knole Park Brown) 1:22:00 [4] 10.8 km (7:36 / km) +220m 6:53 / km

Struggled with my stride after jarring right hamstring attachment (again) before #2, & just ran out of energy about half way. Dave caught me at 12, & I managed to sort of hold on to him to the end (I think he was going slower for me), but I probably shouldn't have bc it really hurt.

I always lose time on the depressions & arbitrarily mapped high points on this map. I'm not supportive of hidden controls where a huge advantage is gained if you are lucky enough to see someone punching.

Easy plod around today on an old loop I haven't done in ages. Lucky we weren't time trialling today - loads of cars on the narrow country lanes, so very stop/start which is unusual for this ride (which 3 yrs ago today, we did in 1:58, so significantly faster. Hope those days aren't over!).

Still have sore legs from Spartacus. Hope that's gone tmrw.

Strength (Spartacus) 30:00 [3]

3 sets of Spartacus. Figured 4 would leave me crippled for a week. Warmed up with a 5k walk to/from the PO via the golf course across the road, which was surprisingly packed with golfers.

Running (World Record Run) 54:58 [4] 9.5 km (5:47 / km) +185m 5:16 / km

Fastest time on this run since 2013 when I did 50mins. It's no coincidence my time is 4mins slower, & I'm 4kg heavier. I also felt very stiff and rigid in both hammies, so struggled with my stride. Was cold - 5degs & we got hailed on for the last km. The course was bone dry today, but often really rough underfoot as a result - the paddocks were solidly rutted which made it quite a slog.
