Mt Biking 1:11:51 [3] 14.4 km (4:59 / km) +288m 4:32 / km

Test riding a Specialized Rhyme demo bike, which was aluminum frame so it was heavy (31lb for small) compared to my trek. It had 3" tires so that made the bike even heavier. Other than the weight, I really enjoyed riding, it was very grippy both going up and down and I can take corners with confidence. I was surprised how well it climbed. Few mechanical difference that shifter on the bike is sram (I'm use to shimano) that my index finger was looking for the shifter every time I was ready to go down hill and I was keep forgetting to use the dropper seat. I felt tall and more up right probably due to larger wheels and semi fat tires. I'm going to move the seat slightly back and ride it again tomorrow.

Trails: big tree, upper coaster, green chicken, roller coaster.

Orienteering 1:06:28 [3] 5.43 km (12:14 / km) +116m 11:04 / km

TNT on Myrtle Benchland in Kimberley. Mini rogaine night on very technical area. It reminded me the race in Jasper I did last summer. I got little bit nervous twice that I had to go up and down, left to right to find controls but I managed to get all 15 controls well with 90 min. I tend to under estimate how far I have gone on a hill that should use visual references more.

Mt Biking 4:19:24 [3] 59.53 km (4:21 / km)

Casual riding with my mom to Isadore Canyon on Cranbrook to Wardner Trail. First few kilometers were old train track trail then it became a twisty but a nice and easy single track. Around km.28-ish on the trail, mom told me her bum is getting sore we popped onto a gravel road and took gold creek road back. The road is slightly longer but quicker, especially once we passed road marker 12, it was all downhill to home. We took lots of snack/water breaks and longer lunch. I should have carried more water since it was a hot day but managed with one bottle. Towards the end, mom was tired so I pulled her on the gravel road since good old James didn't come with us... now I know what it is like to pull a person. It's a hard work!

Mt Biking 2:04:34 [3] 27.69 km (4:30 / km)

My first trail ride of the season. Big Fish took me to some new trails in Eager Hill area. Lots of smooth but tight switch backs which I'm not good at... it's my goal to ride the corners with some speed. Right now I have no speed going through any corners.

Trails: Roller coaster - hill billy - ewok and roll - loop sky walker - hill billy - roller coaster.
