Blue course @ Briones. Not a clean race but I'll take it. Started off cautious and steady, slowly tried to accelerate into the first butterfly loop but lost momentum and a bunch of time at #8 because of some sketchy map issues. Gradually got back on track after that, but the blisters from the Harvey Bear Nav-X haven't gone away and if anything got worse. (kept thinking like I was running a Nav-X throughout this race; mebbe that's the problem) Made a questionable and suboptimal route choice to #16 and went semi-steady for the rest of the course.
Overall, it wasn't too bad, but I think I could have shaved a considerable amount of time off, especially if I knew AJ was running as well... (yes that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it) :)

Decided to attempt the Incline loop with the good old mountain bike. Other than being afraid that my front wheel would fall off or that my brakes would fail on the entire trip down, it was a fun experience. Going 35+ mph is always fun...
