Day 2. Conditions were a lot worse; it was pouring rain the entire time, and the temperatures felt sub-zero. I made a big error on #1 where I made the classic error of looking for the control too low. That cost me a lot of time, so I hit the next few controls carefully... Until a runner from my team who I knew started 6 minutes behind me caught up to me. I instantly made a stupid bobble on #7 but it only cost me 30 seconds or less. Then we both made a massive error on #10, where we both made a parallel error and ended up way too high up on the slope and with no relocating features. About 5 minutes later, I took a wild guess and decided that I was too high up on a spur. That proved to be the case as I hit the control perfectly after that. The rest of the course was relatively slow for me, mainly because I was being careful, and also because I could barely feel my hands and legs in the cold. Massive thank you to Julia and Antoine for making our BAOC team be the #1 Varsity team!
