Orienteering (Middle sim) 27:15 [4] ***** 3.9 km (6:59 / km) +18m 6:50 / km

ran the finnish jwoc trials from a month ago as a middle sim, was running the same speed as Joey, Tuomus etc which is very promising (even would have won a few legs possibly it looks like) but made quite a few mistakes. I feel like physically I have really advanced and adjusted, the forest now feels conquerable, however at a higher speed the orienteering is so much trickier now then earlier this week. Last hard hit out before JWOC, lets hope the nav starts to fall into place now!

Orienteering (Lang) 59:44 [2] ***** 7.4 km (8:04 / km) +52m 7:48 / km

Good training, increasing confidence in the long terrain. I like the style of orienteering on these maps, floating between big features. The physical side felt A LOT easier today, good signs

Orienteering race (Morning sprint) 16:19 [5] *** 4.1 km (3:59 / km) +70m 3:40 / km
ahr:170 max:192 shoes: Saucony Endorphin Racer

Pretty long sprint it felt, died halfway through unfortunately feeling quite tired. More route choice then on a nz map, gotta be so careful of hedges and fences (esp the added man made ones for the event!)

Orienteering race (Afternoon Sprint) 16:11 [4] *** 3.7 km (4:22 / km) +52m 4:05 / km
shoes: Saucony Endorphin Racer

Just went at a tempo pace so I would survive. This is my no1 hard session before JWOC so made sense to push myself out and not skip the second sprint. This one was trickier with a lot more routechoices which I generally didnt choose correctly. Most were pretty minor difference though so not too much time lost. We used emit for both sprints and it is SOO hard omg. I lost ~2 seconds average per control looking at gps (I fluffed around for 5 seconds on one, just couldnt get it in the slot :/ Luckily JWOC sprint is emit touch free but not the forest races

Running warm up/down (Various) 27:00 [1] 5.1 km (5:18 / km) +40m 5:06 / km

Orienteering (Lang train) 1:38:16 [2] ***** 10.7 km (9:11 / km) +227m 8:18 / km

My first time on a 1:15 map over here. The terrain was AMAZING (orienteering heaven omg) but felt so tough. I think I am quite tired, the sprints tomorrow will be tough but time in terrain at this stage is so important so I needed a session like this. Always in this forest I feel barely in control, a sign I really need more orienteering hours under my belt.
