Great to have the Western Night League back, most fun you can have on a Saturday night with your trousers on.

Annoyed with myself for taking it easy after last control, had I pushed and ran I could have been back in time and not lost 3 penalty points, so would have been equal 5th.... oh well, that'll teach me! Lost time on 18, 19, 23 and 27, otherwise reasonably clean. Led into a few controls by Richard, hope I returned the favour on others. Fitness let me down towards the end, but good to start feeling a bit better about running again!

Otherwise fine until Hovding Airbag Toy set itself off on Portway. All of a sudden my head was encased in an airbag. Would be great in an accident, not so great when cycling happily on the way home. A bit of a ramp down was what set it off, I stood up on the pedals to soften the bump down, so maybe all that movement was interpreted as an impending fall.... will be interesting to see how good their customer service is!
