Saturday Red F21+

Started 5 min behind Mr. W so I was hoping I'd see him at some point. Started off ok - small error to 3, I never hit the trail I was expecting so I went in one reentrant too early (had a flag...but not mine). Spent some time searching for 4, it was tucked in a pit and I didn't know quite where I was on the spur. Pretty smooth after that, although my route choice was suboptimal. Caught Mr. W at 7 and saw him at the next couple flags. Then a big error to 10, I drifted too far N and wandered around for a while before finding the right reentrant. Then smooth sailing to the end. The finish chute was fun!

GNC Sprint F21+

Mr. W showed us the ropes and we checked out the start procedure, finish area and spectator controls after we finished the practice course.

Took it easy to 1 to avoid an early mistake and picked up speed as I went along. Pretty much just went straight to all the controls, I couldn't make route choices while maintaining a high speed so I just went. Route to 3 wasn't ideal, and one mistake on 10. I drifted too far E and overshot the flag, corrected pretty quickly.

Very fun sprint! Finished 2/5.
