Started the day with a sore back and it stayed all day. Too long sitting/standing at the desk.
Its been over a month since the last time I went orienteering. Lots of other interesting things to do. Its almost as if I am losing interest. Well, the edge of excitement has waned.
Took it easy with no expectations. Just jogged at a pace I could manage. A couple of minor issues with the first couple of controls and then drama-less for the rest. Imagine surprise on finding I had only won one split yet was second on finishing. Yes, Roch lost his SI stick. But even so, I think this is a good indication that the competition is a lot tougher at Bendigo events on course 2.
I am lucky to be in the top five, and more often sneak into the top ten locally.
A few discussions about the implications of the new mapping standard for this map. Some unhappiness.
