With each injury my preventative/recovery exercise list grows. What was once 20 minutes has grown to an hour. Stll a fair way from being able to claim my latest soft tissue injury is cured. Still, will hobble round the first part of the night event this evening. Will take a book to read whilst I wait for Julie to finish.

The annual Bendigo Night event run by Toph. Great fun. Despite the injury I wasn't going to miss this event. It was slow careful running with walking in the uneven ground.
Four errors of 20 controls, which considering how slow I was going, isn't that good. Two were minor, one significant (90 seconds on 18) and one embarrassing (6.30 on 20). The latter I was just bamboozled. Must have been the mapper.
I have reflected on the run of Bendigo events at the start of this season. Bendigo ToDay, Heathcote Hagaby, Bendigo Rocks at Korong and the Night Champs. In a few weeks it will be the Vic Middle on Yorkshire Hill (still locally known as "Inside the Fence"). I can take the glass half empty view that i have managed to be injured for the majority of these events. Or the glass half ull that I am lucky to be given thes eopportunities. has to be the glass half full outlook. Onward with the rehab program and maybe I will be able to run at the Middle.
Thanks to Toph for the great experience. After the race Toph mused about a NOL night hagaby on Korong.
