Running long 1:04:52 [2] 10.08 km (6:26 / km) +45m 6:18 / km
shoes: ASICS 21 Green

A test of the limits on even ground rather than in terrain. Used the tracks around Crusoe.
At 39 minutes I had to stop and stretch a few tendons. Pain receded and I continued to 65 minutes. At that point I knew it was wise to stop based on messages from below. The last time I ran longer than this without a gradual build up, the result was PF relapse. Pretty pleased to have managed ten kilometers. Its not terrain running, but it will do.

And a 40 kilometer running week! Its been 13 months since I last managed that weekly running total!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Real Orienteering race (Mandurang Coolibah) 43:05 [4] *** 5.71 km (7:33 / km) +180m 6:31 / km
spiked:7/9c shoes: ASICS 21 Green

Local event on the north end of the Mandurang map.
First the mistakes.
Control 2. Seemed pretty standard so set to planning the route to control 3 whilst approaching control 2. And I ended up running towards control 3 instead. Knew where i was all along. Just silliness.
Control 8: Arrived at bottom of correct gully. No control visible, so ran to a parallel gully. No control so went back and found control on the other side of a tree. This is the downside of locking controls to trees. Should have realised.
The foot: It held up for 40 minutes, The last 2 minutes it switched to "stop running now"mode. I didn't, but I knew about it at the finish. So I am lasting 40 minutes in spur gully terrain. Same happened at Fiddlers Green. On flatter terrain I might last 60 minutes. so will try tomorrow.

Run around Dodder Track environs. Pushed the time envelope just a little. Made in a 30 kilometre week. WooHoo.

Old Wellsford circuit. Slowly getting faster, but I feel I am running along a knife edge. The heel was just starting to show PF tendencies (ie hurting) when I finished this run. This seems to be a sort of limit.
