The Eastern Loop and the Long Spur Loop from the Kooyoora campsite. Was ready to call it quits soon after ten k mark. But I had some climb to do. Walked the last climb up to the upper car park from the lower.

Followed by olive picking at Bridgewater.

Who says being the map maker is an advantage? Every race I run on Peter the Great Gully, I take the map lightly and end up paying. Two significant errors today. Despite this, I really like running out here. The lines of denser vegetation break up the line of sight giving a more isolated feel, but despite this the terrain is fast. The limited climb helps as well. A six minutes per kilometre by Obewan (straight line measure) tells the story.

Mt Stapleton-Hollow Mtn circuit.
Don't remember it as being this hard. Did it in reverse to the usual direction and became somewhat confused in the final traverse into Hollow Mtn. Took a while to realise that you really did follow the top of the ridge.
