Swimming 2:00:00 [3]

Not sure how to log climbing. Spent a day at Arapiles with Chris Wilmott. Climbing is a sport with large period of inactivity (other than apprehension) interspersed with short periods of terror. At least its terrifying when you haven't fone much climbing and the brain isn't adjusted to height and rope. Saw Toph there. That must be part of his generation's lack of committment. ;-}
Two picture of Chris Wilmott not at the photogrammetry machine, and two of sights seen whilst at the Piles. The last one, Trinity Wall, looks particularly terrifying.
For the record... Panzer (12) and Lizard procrastination (11). That's only 5 pitches of climbing for a period of 9 hours. Thought they were both new climbs for me, but discovered I had lead Panzer many years ago when I checked my old guidebook annotations back home.
Two photos of Chris Wilmott not at the photogrammetry machine, and two of sight sseen at the Piles. The latter of a climb Trinity Wall looks most impressive. One day?

7.00 k straight line. I'll claim only 30 seconds of error, as I think control 4 was placed on a a lower unmapped rock feature.

No time to run today. Left early for an appointment at the ABC studio in Southbank. Then book launch. Then music this evening.

Decided to get back into a more formal hill training regime, after threats from prez_no_retired (previously prez_now_retired) that i would be flogged in the reinstated Kooyoora Sludge run.
It hurt.

Note

Its a good thing tyre rubber on our cars lasts longer than the rubber on running shoes. My latest pair is falling apart after 428 km.
