Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Thingummyjigs

Running through an unmapped area at Yackandandah. Rumour has it Leigh Privett is mapping this for an MTBO event. It has extensive areas of mining, but I saw only a bit as we kept to the tracks. It was pretty thick away from the tracks, as well as wet. Its a trail-bike and 4-WD friendly area, with ample evidence of their churning up the mud. It may have been good for real orienteering before the Stanley fire 4 years ago. The wattles are up thick now. No one would thank you if you ran an event here in its present condition. The clear areas in the photos are where the 4-wds and trail bikers do their thing. They keep the scrub down.

Running (Terrain) 1:15:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks Thingummyjigs

A run/walk through Victoria's answer to Pittwater. Its not dunes though. Someone had put a sign on a track very similar to the one in the photo immediately below, warning of extreme MTB conditions, but dangerous for trail bikes. After a quick consideration I removed the sign, thinking the track EXTREMELY suitable for trail bikes.

Running 44:10 [3]
weight:78.4kg shoes: Brooks Thingummyjigs

An easy run out past White's Ruins. Took the walking path through our suburb to the bush and was, as usual, the two dogs of a neighbour that are coralled on the other side of the fence made an almighty racket barking growling, so I did the same back. It is a public thoroughfare but few walk it because of the dogs. The dog owner saw me and yelled at me to stop throwing stones at her dogs. To which I responded that I wasn't throwing stones, but teaching the dogs to keep away when I run past because she seems incapable of doing so herself. Of course, the witty retort came to mind two minutes later. What I should have said:
"I'm just hassling your dogs on the other side of the fence because they are hassling me. I'll stop when you stop them, or explain why they have rights not available to humans".
I hate territorial dogs. I hate their owners even more for housing unsuitable dogs in an urban environment.
Later in the run we met numerous trail bikes. I think I'll stop blogging now or this will get really ugly.

MTB (Not O) 1:00:00 [3]

Ride into Bendigo to see a film. Practicing the lifestyle we will lead when oil hits $200 a barrel as predicted this week by one oil executive.

Running hills 34:05 [3]
weight:78.2kg shoes: Brooks Thingummyjigs

The Welsford 10 hill track. This represents a gradual increment in hill effort. Given the limited relief in the Welsford forest, it could still be portrayed as asn undulating run.
