Running long 1:37:00 [2] 14.8 km (6:33 / km) +100m 6:20 / km
(injured)

Legs felt even tighter. Must be a footballer. The run was a long warm up followed by a long warm down and nothing in between.

Course setting (Lockwood) 1:10:00 [2] ** 7.1 km (9:52 / km) +115m 9:07 / km
(injured)

Placing controls. Map inadequacies became obvious by the second control so from then on I did extra distance checking and double checking and even remapping. Of course, I didn't go back and check the first control and I had placed it in an unmapped gully. A bit embarrassing. It sthe thrid time I have set a course here, and its been pressure each time with map corrections and general uncertainty under time pressure. Its the second time I have had a control in an unmapped gully here. Conclusion. Stop setting courses here and spend the time mapping it properly instead. The next big project.

The distance in this log is accurate, the time is just my guess of a reasonable approximate of how much time was spent travelling rather thinking or tieing.

Running 47:00 [3] 8.5 km (5:32 / km)
(injured)

Why do my legs feel like lead for 47 minutes? Still, the carpet of gold dust wattle looked great.
In retrospect, the leadness is my legs protecting a damaged hammy.
