More MTB tracks. Look like fun riding, but the bush is buggered. Looping and criss crossing tracks dominate the forest. Its as though the forest is the MTB rider play thing. They can get away with wanton destruction, whilst we have to carefully argue the case for our runners leaving tracks for some of our events. Then we eventually get permits only to find that shooters are stlking the map on the same day. The permit system is a friggin joke.

Bendigo Night Orienteering Championships. Wonderful fun event. Live tracking on the web after many of the entrants installed the LiveLox app on their phones. Of course, being not the usual event, the attendance was typically poor. I have the same problem when I organise any sprint event. Conservative bunch.

The joys of logging MTB track proliferation. And before anyone says its all on Strava... it isn't. And the strava tracks are often logged with lazy ("smart") logging. This was with a strict one second logging.

We really do have an issue here. I am most amused that MTB riding friends tell me that they dislike trail bike riders because they are so destructive...

The attraction of two long legs made course 1 irresistible. I survived it. The knowledge that Jools was breathing down my neck starting 2 minutes behind kept me on my toes. She almost caught me several times, but a couple of minor blunders allowed me to pull away. Leg speed would not have done it for me.
