Visits -3.
Sunsets seen - 2.
Kilometres travelled - 41.5
Hours in terrain - 14.
Last loop will be a challenge.
Jim managed the same number of trips. The long day we both found concentration waned towards the end. Maybe four trips would have been better.

Thought this was the toughest run into town, but Julie peeled off on the way home and added another hill. Will step up to the Tougher Mackenzie on return from OS.

Note
(sick)

Apparently I have "Post viral cough syndrome". In lay terms this means - "We don't know what it is, here take a placebo".
Condition exacerbated each time I run, so probably no running before trip. What a state I am going to be in when facing those mountains. Julie will just have to be patient.

Control checking at Kooyoora. Walking time a guess. Was out much longer than this. It was a toss up to see who was more stuffed at the end, Jim or myself.

Real Orienteering race (Mosquito Creek) 1:07:51 [3] **** 8.4 km (8:05 / km) +230m 7:06 / km
spiked:7/11c shoes: Asics Fuji Trabuco 2 (?)

Return to the sport at Mosquito Creek after a seven week absence. Decided to do long course as I expected I would be forced to pull out before completing it, and this choice would absolve myself of the pressure to perform on course 2. I am clearly running slower than 6 weeks ago. But on this map the slower speed may have helped improve my navigation. I count four controls that were not spiked, but these would have added to less than 90 seconds. Surprised to actually finish the course, to avoid uncontrolled coughing, and to only be about six or seven minutes slower than a normal. Perhaps the analgesic throat lozenge before the start was a good idea.

Running 38:21 [3] 6.34 km (6:03 / km) +45m 5:50 / km
shoes: Asics Fuji Trabuco 2 (?)

Wellsford Hill Extended. This brought on another period of uncontrolled coughing. Time to ease up again.
