31st bush event of the year.
Course 1 on Bullock Creek. This was an entirely different experience to last week on Sedgwick. Equally as enjoyable. This is true red line country. Not many reasons to deviate. No reasons to excuse a walk. The pressure is on to run hard the whole way. I never was fast as a runner, and I am quite a bit slower than I used to be. So I am quite happy with a straight line speed of 7.36 per kilometer.
The other good news from today was a successful blooding of two new course setters. All the controls were accurately placed. Keen to have another go next year. Good for the sport.
The less pleasant news was a fall in which I again damaged that left glute and hamstring area. Managed to finish after a short interval with not much change of speed. But on cooling down it started to limit my movement. Icing tonight. May be a slower run tomorrow. Hopefully I will start, even if I don't finish. It will be event number 32.
