About 6 hours of fieldwork today before I got chased off the map by rain.

7 Hours of fieldwork today. Knew that it was supposed to start raining at some point in the late afternoon, but figured I would stay out on the map until it really started coming down and I had to put the tablet away.
In the end I got chased away by multiple lightning strikes (just heard the thunder), and figured a GPS with a metal battery on my head, holding a tablet with metal battery in my hand, a metal phone in my pocket, and a backup external metal power pack in my bag meant I should call it a day.
Looks like it is supposed to rain for the first half of this week, so might be doing some remote Whitehorse mapping. Was hoping to get more stuff down here done, but I've only got maybe 1 day of drafting cleanup and contour drafting left to do.

Really good day of mapping today, but a little bit worried I overdid it on my feet, but I guess we'll see over the next couple of days. Some really nice subtle terrain today, somewhat reminiscent of Bow Valley actually, and then some bigger feature stuff as well.
Odd to think that today should have been the model event for Team Trials would have been today. Kind of amazing how much things have changed. Wish that it could have gone ahead, but also very glad that we pulled the plug on the event relatively early and didn't try to push through. Saved a lot of extra stress, money, and time.

Pretty good day of mapping today, but my feet just won't let me put in full 8 hour days of fieldwork. Oh well, got pretty close today.

It was one of those mapping days where I was considering whether today would be the day when I finally run into a wasp nest while mapping and get stung.
