Note
Simply put, training this past week sucked.
- Monday: was a well deserved rest day after 6 hours or so in 3 days on the weekend.
- Tuesday: was a full day at school followed by a midterm the next day which I wanted to study for which took priority over a run.
- Wednesday: I started to feel crummy and decided it was best to take it easy.
- Thursday: I felt better so went for a good run with the zone 4 intervals. Good workout, if a little short. It was nice to get some running speed work in for the first time this year though.
- Friday: I didn't feel all that great, but good enough so I skied up South Canoe a little harder than I should have.
- Saturday: I bombed out of ski practice and more or less spent the entire afternoon alternating between recovering from that and writing my physics formal lab.
- Sunday: I felt slightly better than Saturday afternoon, but still around 50%, way lower than acceptable to do anything. Mom and Dad told me not to go running or skiing on my own just in case. Even decided not to go to soccer because I had such low energy.
- Monday (today): I walked to and from school which went alright, but energy levels are still really low. Legs feel dead like the past few days, and the brain has been shutting down as well just like it has over the past week.
Tested my blood sugar a few times this weekend to see if that was the cause, but blood sugar after I had eaten on Saturday was 7.1, and during one of the times I felt aweful on Sunday in was 5.9. Both very normal. Heart rate is also about normal, but I couldn't get it to drop very well after the intervals on Saturday, but who knows.
Have a head ache, dizziness, and general fatigue.
Will go see the doctor later this week if it doesn't get any better.
Even if I do get better this coming week won't be great for training either since I have 3 midterms, a formal lab (which I finished at 16 pages) and an essay due (on top of the usual assignments).
