Control picking in south canoe. Not quite the same when you set your own course five minutes before you goo run it. Easy jog back down with mena and lil after.

Easy Ski with double sprints around the south hub and then another 15 or so minutes around plantation and frodo's bog. Still feeling a little tired from the weekend, but overall getting much better.

Mass start classic race in pg. Geeky
Felt tired, but kept with the pack on the uphill only to crash and lose them on the downhill. Best distance race of the year so far though.

Westerns sprint:
Qualified 10th overall, 3rd in YOB

Cruised through quarter-final behind Reed Godfrey, but in the Semi I was with in what would essentially be the final: Ty, Reed, Andrew, Connor McGovern, and some other random lucky loser from the quarters (Jonah Steinberg?). I had fifth lane choice, but coming out of the scramble zone I was in third, feeling good, when Ty broke my pole. Ended up last, and then completely screwed up my tactics in the B-Final to finish 5th, or 11th overall. Top BC in my YOB, 4th overall.

Skiing - Skate race 28:05 [5] 10.0 km (2:49 / km)

Western's "Short Distance" (just as long as the long distance...) - 10k.

Ended up 24 of 32, not all that happy with my race. Cramped up on the main uphill on the second lap, so the middle third of the second lap was sheer agony until it started to dissipate just before the last main uphill where I was able to really push. Was wiped by the time the line came around.

Technique was good, just lacking power and endurance.

Started my warm up too early considering the 10k distance. Also went into the start pen too early as well.

Easy skiing of PG skate distance course and sprint course. Super fast trails, icy with thin snow, but no dirt.

Easy ski before westerns. Super slow skiing, more klister conditions.

Running before/after the quick orienteering practice. Feeling out of shape, which isn't exactly a good thing considering goals for westerns and nationals... Nice to get out for a fun run though.

Orienteering 20:00 [2]

Orienteering across OK College, Bastion Sullivan and back. Included a couple of mini-sprints of around 5 controls with longer, easy legs in between.

Classic practice with 4 sprints of 800m. Glide was awful, but managed to get 4th (last) in our mock A-Final.

Skiing up and over South Canoe for the first time this year. Probably the last too considering the poor conditions at the bottom... almost biking season already.

Tried out some new 9100 Yoko poles that I bought from John's a couple of weeks ago that I just cut down. Cut them a little too long, but the added stiffness makes a massive difference! Loved it.

Easy ski before but mostly after. Hit around 55kph today. Super fast conditions.

3x8 minute intervals. Lots of fun, but ran out of energy on the last one...
