Bloody freezing, especially at top of Ainslie with rain and fog. COffee and scrambled eggs were welcome at Deli Marx afters.

Cacthing the bus into town with Abby I looked out into the black mtn forest in the cold, pouring rain and for some reason was reminded of a weeks training in Grimstad, Norway in 1996. Was inspired enough to propose 6*3min terrain ints to Grant and Rob so away we went. Rob wore his SIlva Norway shoes and I dug out my old Idrettslaget Tyrving O top. Good start when Rob ran straight up the cutting beside the GDE as we left Aranda. Grant and I did our best to follow. Ints were hard, fun and wet. I was hanging a long way off the back of the other boys but still pushing hard. Knackered at the end. We chose route choice home to protect Robs feet from his stud-spikes on the footpath/road while telling a few stories.

Snuck in morning run at Stromlo. DId 20min effort followed by faster effort back down Mt Stromlo which took about 7mins. 20min effort was probably 21 or 22 due to not starting watch correctly. Freezing cold and miserable weather in general but really enjoyed it. Great to be running different spot mid week and had coffee at Red Brick on way to work.

Late night game. Lots of team members away so we had 3 ring ins. Good to have a bench but noone knew how each other played - especially as nearly always at least 1 of 'regulars' on the bench. Also 1 of the fill ins was this huge guy who used to play A grade. He looked great with the ball but was rusty so his shots kept lipping out. He also wasnt overly committed to defence! :) As far as game was concerned it was very close but crap. We had lead most of the night till last few mins when they drew level. The A grader gave us a 2pt lead with 20s to go but they drew a foul and had two shots from the paint (just wanted to throw in a basketball term) to tie. The bloke hit the first but missed the second so we won 19-18.
My own form was mixed - getting to the right spots in offence more often, especially in the key. Problem is then skills are useless so miss shot or pass. Progress though. I hope. Sleep at 1am.
