Running 1:11:06 [3] 14.0 km (5:05 / km)
ahr:129 max:149

Ran in lateish arvo from Eltham little railway up round my classic 40min loop that goes through Sweeneys Lane, the classic loop starting and finishing at the family home which is no longer the family home if you follow my drift. Post the loop ran back up hill to Mum & dads current place.

Certainly some upper middle class wealth come in to that part of Eltham South on the classic loop with some of the streets that I remember occupied with oldish weatherboards now "green style" mini-mansions with tennis courts, swimming pools and solar panels. All the roads on the run used to be dirt but now bar 1 or 2 are bitumen. As for the run I felt weary and sluggish from the start and that didnt change when I got to Mum & Dads after 70mins so I didnt bother with an additional loop.

Running intervals 20:00 [5] 5.0 km (4:00 / km)
ahr:162 max:170 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus27

Mona fartlek along Diamond Creek Trail between Monty (Mum & Dads) to Diamond Creek (Sisters). Tried to push hard given two rest days and to follow up last saturdays good training with Andy. Its a good session Monas fartlek - starts out thinking its gonna be no probs but by the end 15s efforts are killer.

Running warm up/down 38:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:26 / km)
ahr:146 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus27

Rest of the run was pleasant enough with numbers on the bike path diminishing as it got closer to Grand Final start time. Lots of Pies supporters out in area that used to be zoned to the Pies and Fitzroy. Watched the GF at Nikkis - dont think it was a super match with both defences well on top but obviously the closeness made it v exciting. I think Saints will be favorites next week with Pies having lost some of their sense of invincibility / confidence.

weight:78.3kg

Last weight measuring for a week or so and a good score to leave with. Could be nasty by the time I get back after a week of my mums, and occasionally sisters, cooking.

Spent all day driving to Melbourne. Not helped by detour out of Canberra through Gungahlin and Mulligans Flat due to accident (RIP) before Murrambatemen.

Morning run with ALJ. Used stick to fend off maggie. Legs suffering a bit from weekends exertions so was a bit sluggish, especially compared to the spring in Als step.

Riding without sleeves or leggings, on full magpie alert and barely needing lights anymore. It must be spring time!
