Running 24:11 [3] 5.0 km (4:50 / km)
ahr:131 max:146 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

No long run as Belinda went in a MTB race. Spent the arvo mowing the lawn and cleaning the gutters before cutting a half lap of Aranda. Fairly warm.

Running 25:05 [3] 5.0 km (5:01 / km)
ahr:121 max:140 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Morning run round Aranda. Beautiful morning with only the peak of Black Mtn and the tower poking above the clouds and into the sunshine. Wished I'd had my camera.

Note
(rest day)

Not the ideal rest day but as my regular reader will note, thursday is a busy work day and its hard to get out.

Orienteering race 26:52 [5] 4.7 km (5:43 / km)
ahr:157 max:173 shoes: Brooks Cascadia 4 (Tractors)

SS at Mt Stromlo. Not much good from me tonight. Started poorly (again) when tried to cross a large gully at a point that looked ok on the map but when I got there looked horrendous. Had to double back and go to a better spot. Showed I was a slow learner by doing the same thing on the way to 3, allowing Miss Jones to pass me. Saw her on the way to 5 so was able to run with her, and towards the end a fair way behind her, till the end. Achilles felt pretty bad, worse at the end than after 20k on Satdy. Non-existent warm up and down wouldn't have helped that.

Running 24:33 [3] 5.0 km (4:55 / km)
ahr:141 shoes: Nike Air Zoom Elite

ANother half lap of Aranda pre-brekky and day of daddy-care. This one kicked off at 630am thanks to Zoe's personal wake-up schedule. Still some soreness in achilles post-weekend but all other aches and pains seemed to have passed.

Cycling 1:20:00 [3]

Ride to and from work. Headwind on the way in was horrendous - had to pedal hard down Aranda Hill. Fortunately wind was mostly still there on way home so I felt like I was on a motor bike. Got severely supercommuted on way home with a guy sitting on my shoulder, his front wheel overlapping my back. Any unexpected moves from me, and I'm no technician on the bike, and we both woulda come down. He didnt take a turn either. Goose.
