Running 1:59:05 [3] 22.0 km (5:25 / km)
ahr:146 max:179 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Massive Cockies long run with more people than could mention. Plenty of blow-ins from the L2 Coaching course. Up Majura, pines, AInslie, down the run up course and then long drag back along fire trail to cars. Started at 7 so heat ntb. Group much more strung out than usual but that happens sometimes, esp when someone as snappy as Julian turns up. Ran at various times with Dreaded, Sanders, StK66, GrantM, Lac6hy, Susanne, BelindaL and Joshwa. Coffee and cinamon toast at deli marco was good afters ad the deli marco team responded well to the huge turn-up of runners.

Running 42:39 [3] 8.0 km (5:20 / km)
ahr:136 max:151 shoes: Saucony Triumph 4

Concrete path run with Searlo. Started at about 10 so warm but not ridiculous yet. Finished with a lap of aranda ovals just to add a minute or two.

Running 26:08 [3] 5.0 km (5:14 / km)
ahr:125 max:142 shoes: Brooks Cascadia 4 (Tractors)

Bizarrely woke up at 6am and couldnt go back to sleep. Actually it probably wasnt that bizarre given the heat. Anyway went out for a trot to test the new tractors - Brooks Cascadia 4 bought under the guidance of one J.Dent as the answer to all my long-forest-running prayers. Ran up DS Hill then around the back of Aranda. Was crossing the dead-end street whose name I cant remember and there pulls up GrantM and even more bizarrely StK66. they'd driven over to Aranda for a run so they joined me for the last 10mins. Nice to catch up. Achilles still sore but quads ok. Achilles will prob be better for the run.

Running race 1:55:50 [5] 20.3 km (5:42 / km)
ahr:160 max:173 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Mt Tennant Trail Run. A tough run and I ran well which was pleasing. race started at car park half way along Apolo Rd. Up Mt Tennant along fire trail, back down to turn off to Bushfold Flats, out and back for about 6k along the flats and then back down to car park. Mt Tennant is one tough hill - steep and long and took me 50mins to the top hardly any respite. I ran solidly without spending too many biccies up Tennant keeping an eye on my HR and trying not to go too far over 160. Settled in behind Mick Corlis and emu-man who did some emu-walking up the hill. Mick started to come back to me about half way up and I passed him at about 3/4. Saw Hoggster on his way down and was encouraged by how close I was. Tried to concentrate on my downhill and caught and passed emu-man by the turn off although was only 20m ahead. Out to Bushfolds flat and back was beautiful section of running with an old tin cattlemans hut and some nice gentle ups and downs. Again tried to keep concentration and not look back to see how emu-man was going and at turn around and when we rejoined Mt Tennant trail I had a fair gap. Was spent for last bit down the hill and wasnt able to keep as good a pace as first section of down hill but finished off well. 2nd M35 (eek) behind Hoggster so won a bottle of wine from the famous "Gum Creek" estate. Coffee at timorese cafe in Yarralumla with hoggster afters - as he said coffee was unusual but that doesnt mean it was bad. A good morning except for how early it was - run started at 7.25am.
Splits:
Start to Mt Tennant Peak - 49.37
Back to Bushfold flat turn off - 18.11
Bushfolds flat out and back - 33.49
Bushfolds to finish - 14.13 (therefore run down time of 32.24 compared with 49.37 up)

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Saucony Triumph 5
