Running 43:08 [3] 8.0 km (5:24 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2120

Mid arvo lap of Aranda with Cook diversion finishing at Coles Jammo to get a few household items. I didnt do the long run as planning to do mt Tennant race tomorrow. Still got a call from Miss Jones at 8.06am checking if man-cold and I were coming - very kind of Miss Jones.

Note
(rest day)

Was going to run home but air/con broke at work so sat sweating in office all day and then didnt fancy running home in the heat. No biggie.

Running intervals 20:00 [5] 5.0 km (4:00 / km)
ahr:151 max:172 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

20 *45s on/15s rest set by Fel and with Cockies crowd of Hoggster, Macey and MissJ. Oh and Fel of course! All on single tracks at Bruce Ridge until the 15th rep when Hoggster added "I've got sweat in my eyes and might turn my ankle on the single tracks" to his list of excuses so we hit the fire trails. When this is added to 'man-cold' and 'twingey calf' on his list of excuses he is developing quite an elaborate list. It was a good session and hard to judge a pace that was hard but could be maintained for 20 reps. I tried to stay with Hoggster on the 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th in order to lift the effort.

Running warm up/down 18:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:00 / km)
ahr:128 max:150 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

10mins w/up along side of the ridge adn then another 8 back to the car. Saw my friend Jayne out walking.

Orienteering race 36:30 [5] 5.4 km (6:46 / km)
ahr:163 max:178 shoes: Nike Air Span

SS at Aranda bushland. Started 30s after MissJ and Grant but didnt see them after i wobbled my way along the long 3rd. Ran pretty well in general and was trying to pace myself. Had noticed HR goes much higher much earlier at O than say in a XC race. Certainly O performance was better than last week at ANU and it was a good course. It seems as though no matter how well or poorly I run I always finish about 2mins behind MD Muzza.

Drive to Sydney and back with Zoe for hospital visit. Harness she is wearing is working, fixing her hip. Doc says wear it for another 4 weeks and then a different less intrusive harness/brace. Yeh.

No time for running/exercise.
