Twin Pram Running 51:02 [3] 9.0 km (5:40 / km)
ahr:123 max:144 shoes: Nike Air Span

Usual twin pram run with diversion back to home in the middle to get rusks to try and stave off Abby's moaning. Worked well.

Running hills 1:02:04 [5] 14.0 km (4:26 / km)
ahr:143 max:172 shoes: Saucony Triumph 4

Crackenback with Hoggster. Worked the back half of the crackenback hard after glancing at the watch and thinking my time was better than last attempt (it was). Was buggered for Aranda Hill but still 2s quicker than last time. Last time I was beginning to get sick but countering that was trying to keep up with RobW so pleased that the Crackenback surge was about 30s quicker. Times with last time did the run in Dec in brackets:
Crack: 11.31 159/172 (11.54)
Aranda Hill: 4.35 163/169 (4.37)

Note

Just spent some time going through 2007 trog to see what I thought were my best sessions/runs for the year. Cant be bothered narrowing it down but remember fondly the following:
- XC at Molongolo Reach in Feb. Just felt great and flowed beautifully for 19.02
- O at Sandhills. Ran well and beat RobW. Obvious highlight of the year.
- Jim Sawkins Handicap at Gooyaroo. Enjoyed running with group in honour of Jim.
- Early morning Cockatoos session at Reconcilliation place organised by Miss Jones. the early morning chill, clear crisp sky and racing round the buildings/roads.
- A lunch time run with Fish & Julie Quinn on Black Mtn. Beautiful spring day and great to see Fish.
- A twin pram run with JLA from Tilleys.
- The 3 hour Cockies Xmas run.
- Canberra Times Fun RUn with the pram
- Doing the Waste Basin solo inspired by Miss Jones marathon.

And looking back with so many coffee and cafe reviews I think my favourite cafe venue of the year is Vanilla Bean. Terrific coffee and the cinnamon toast on turkish.

Twin Pram Running 43:07 [3] 8.0 km (5:23 / km)
ahr:132 max:156 shoes: Nike Air Span

Run with Rob, Al & Max in his wimpy pram. Usual Aranda loop starting with Bruce gated community and ending with loop past old place in Cook. As ALJ said - not a flat run.

Running 1:17:12 [4] 17.0 km (4:32 / km)
ahr:147 max:173 weight:84.5kg shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Best run I've had this year. Ho ho ho arent I funny.

Hoggster wanted to do 80mins so I ran over to his folks house in Weetangera via Mt Painter Reserve. Then a loop through the Pinnacles and back over Painter Reserve, Wybalena Hill and Aranda hill. Turned into quite a hilly run and I was working hard at times in the heat.

MTB 1:24:06 [3]
ahr:109

Belinda and i (! - girls a Bob&Judes) went out to Sparrow Hill and rode the tracks. We were inspired by Walters/Jones ride on Boxing Day. The tracks have got more definite since our last visit. It was practically my first single track effort in 2008 so was bit ordinary although I didnt come off. Belinda did have to do a lot of waiting though! Coffee in Kingston afters was terrif (the coffee itself wasnt that flash but quiet time with Belinda and the paper was).

Note

Following Dr Trewin's lead I looked up this years training compared to last. Total volume of training down but interestingly I did more ks of running. basically a massive reduction in cycling due to time it takes away from parenting duties and I guess the increase in ks run is b/c I still go for 40min runs on the days I previously did 90min rides. Of course, now that I think about it, in 2007 I trained up for the LifeCycle charity ride from Syd to Cbr so that would have made a big diff. The other noticeable thing is a decrease in the number of high intensity sessions.

Running 1:22:34 [3] 16.0 km (5:10 / km)
ahr:135 max:161 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Run with the Jones sisters from Al's place. Along lake edge, Anzac Parade, stopped and read the sign at the lighning bolted Lone Pine, up Ainslie and drink at the top, although not for shannon who is too fit. Back down run up course, Anzac Pde and then across town to Al's. Nice longer mid week run. New Years resolutions were discussed with not too much conclusion.

Running 41:30 [3] 8.0 km (5:11 / km)
ahr:139 max:155 shoes: Saucony Triumph 5

Reverse classic with Hoggster at 715pm. Bit flat but Hoggster was clattering along so we kept a reasonable pace.
