Running 1:29:52 [3] 18.0 km (5:00 / km)
ahr:147 max:165 shoes: Saucony Triumph 4

Managed to coerce Liggo out into the burbs of Montmorency for a long run. We did a loop from M&Ds out along the Plenty River trail to Main Yarra Trail then back through Westerfolds Park to Eltham and then through some streets to home. Impressive that the paths link up so well now. Reckon I'll do that run again although will have to add a little seeing I estimated the run to be 90mins. Liggo was very fortunate as these were all my childhood haunts so he got to hear many stories including:
- The Monty High Yr 10 Formal with Sandra Tarr (Livin on a Prayer Bon Jonvi was a highlight)
- test match cricket with Dean Jones (...and his twin brother Davin)
- screamers on the oval
- 2 goals (soccer) at Monty South Primary
- Footy with soon-to-be Carlton player Fraser Brown (doubt he tells stories about footy with acejase)
- meeting Bazorak at his house for a run only to see him dash starkers from his kitchen to bedroom to put his running gear on

In return Liggo gave me some lessons on running-etiquette explaining I was being too friendly to other runners, particularly dog owners. Think I'll invite him out again as unlike Belinda he doesn't interupt my stories with 'I've heard this one a million times'. Coffee afterwards at Dads local in Were Street and Liggo left before he got sucked into the vacuum of a McCrae family lunch - he saw the warning signs when he had to carry 2 coffees, a french stick and a capsicum home from Were St.

Running 29:29 [3] 4.0 km (7:22 / km)
ahr:117 max:149 shoes: Saucony Triumph 4

Amazingly got to go for a run with Belinda. We were down visiting my parents and relatives in Melbourne. introducing A&Z to the McCrae family - poor sods. They probably want a refund. Anyway with on-site baby-sitting we ducked out for a jog down to the Plenty River, along the trail past Monty ovals and back up the hill to Mum&Dads.

Running 33:05 [3] 6.0 km (5:31 / km)
shoes: Saucony Triumph 4

Accompanied the Hoggster half way in to his work before turning back home. Achilles pain again improved and I felt like I was running pseudo-normally with some tightness/pain in the calves or top of achilles. Given Hoggster looked back to normal I felt I ran a bit like Sebastien Leob's navigator in the World Rally with the Hoggster being Sebastien Leob. Except of course the Hoggster doesn't like me to navigate.

Running 30:05 [3] 5.0 km (6:01 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2120

Got home a smidge early and cut a lap of Aranda, although reverse direction to usual. Achilles improved although still some pain and hobbling. i ran a bit like Cliff Young did after he'd already knocked over 500k on his way from Sydney to Melbourne.

Running 37:14 [3] 7.0 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2120

Ran home with Emily. Body better except for achilles * 2. Right achilles sore whole length and left achilles sharp pain at the base. Consequently I ran a bit like Stuie O'Grady would if he ran for 40mins wearing his bike shoes with the cleats in them. It got better as run went on so hopefully a good sign.

Cycling 53:00 [3]

Commuting. Bit like Mick Doohan in his final years on the MotoGP circuit. I hobbled over to the bike, needed a pit crew to help me on and off but once on the bike I rode ok.
Walking not good today, probably worse than yesterday - planning to run tomorrow. At least it meant I couldnt walk into town at lunch for a bucket of chips.
