Was going to do the Canada Fun Run but it got a bit much domestically so had a morning nap instead. tried a longish run on a diferent route choice. Over Gossan Hill, through Uni of Canberra, bike path past the AIS and Fern Hill, OConnor Ridge, Bruce Ridge, edge of Black Mtn Reserve and home via classic loop. Nice enough although I knew it would be short of 90mins but cbf doing anymore.

The crackenback with Hoggster. Pea Souper down near Rani Rd - could hardly see the Hoggster (a good thing as he needs a hair cut). I seemed a bit closer to the Hoggster than usual but who knows.

Was going to bike commute today but inclement conditions made me change to run in (and bus home). Refined route choice in to include cutting down off scottys hills and along edge of Turner. Think its the fastest way as was running pretty slowly but still less time than other route choices. Felt pretty weary in legs - "sprinting" yesterday.

extended warm up under direction of Miss Jones. Shorter warm down with Mace - Miss Jones already left for work.

Cockies Orienteering intervals under leadership of Miss Jones. Used a NCA colour map to do 4 loops of controls in mass start format. Good fun. Some unmarked construction played havoc with a few legs but just made it more fun. Got ahead of myself by sprinting end of 3rd loop and nearly destroyed hammys. Tried to outsprint Miss Jones at end of 4th one but she was on to me after I hip-and-shouldered her into the OPH Rose Garden and whipped me in the sprint. Good fun - thanks Miss Jones. Coffee and fruit toast at cafe opposite Rob&Al's metro apartment. Nice setting and coffee ok.

Black Mtn lunchtime loop with Patrick and the Hoggster. Felt pretty flat on jog to meet the lads but fine, even good, when the pace lifted. It lifted a bit more towards the end when the Hoggster disagreed with Patrick's naming of a particular run as Patrick responded by upping the pace. Doesnt Patrick know that Hoggster disagrees with everything? Nice lunch time running conditions.

commuting on the mtb. nippy. wished i'd worn my proper winter gloves in the morning. tried using silva headlamp as front light on the way home. it worked but not really sustainable - strap over helmet annoying and angle of light hard to get right.

Cook Blob through streets of Aranda. Good turn out with Walders pushing the pace along. Had to go pretty solid clip to get to Nandos only 10mins late. Luckily still beat Walders there, although behind Dees.
