The Xmas Pete went along the traditional Pete route choice including Horse Park Drive. A snappier pace this week mainly as a result of whenever Pete WIlson took the lead. Devil and Hoggster also on the ride. I took a turn along horse park but then Pete took next turn and had us cranking along at 45k/hr over the bumpy drive with me in 2nd hanging on to his wheel. As soon as we hit the hill at the end I knew I had nothing and managed to call out "Pop" as Hoggster went by, much to his amusement. Back to Deli Marko this week. After Xmas festivities of the week I was trying to conserve funds and went for the cheaper Ham&Cheese croissant with my coffee. While the coffee was good the croissant was very cheap indeed.

Off to melbourne for Xmas festivities tomorrow. Merry Christmas to yuse all! Cheers.

Running 1:01:26 [3] 12.0 km (5:07 / km)
ahr:153 weight:85kg shoes: Red&Black Nike Persies

Black mtn loop run with ACTRunners although we didnt do the Little Black Mtn bit. Big group including Patrick, Hoggster, graham, DaveO, Velcro and some others I met for the first time. Steady pace - everytime I thought it was starting to quicken up it slowed down again. Really humid (by Canberra standards) with some light rain at the start. Calves and quads a bit sore still but felt like I was running it out.

Cycling 53:00 [3]

commuting. legs in a bad way. quads not wanting to exert anything. felt better by the end of the ride.

Running 33:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:36 / km)

Sometimes one might describe a run as "hobbled round" in order to emphasise a point that one was somewhat sore/tired/injured. On this occasion there is no such exaggeration - I hobbled round the blob. Going downhill the worst with painful quads. Nearly stopped after about 20m out of home but thought i would be better for it and it was the last blob before Xmas. Did warm up a little so it did improve but I was still hobbling. Walked home from when left andy & nat. Fortunately Hoggster seemed to be struggling just as much, Nat was buggered and Searlo was at his most lethargic.
