new years running resolutions in priority order:
1. complete Canberra Marathon in April
2. get weight down to 80kg by Canberra Marathon (80kg was my new years resolution 3 years ago so may be tough)
3. break 3.10 for Canberra marathon
4. set new running goals post-marathon
In setting above goals have also concluded that, gulp, wont go to Easter 3 day as it is week before marathon, its a long way, Belinda doesnt orienteer much anymore and I'm less keen than I used to be. This is a big call coz I havent missed an easter 3 day since 1981 in Wirabara having also been to the 1977-1980 3 days.
Started weight loss program yesterday. My strategies so far:
- bought box of pepsi max cans for work instead of drinking coke
- am going to "think" before I eat anything crap
- at least 1 piece of fruit per day
- bought a tonne of fruit at supery last night, hopefully not just so it goes in the compost next week
- tinned fruit, fruit, low fat yoghurt and toast are now the only things on my snack at home list
- more running ==> gotta get to regular 60+k per week for marathon training
