Cycling 24:00 [3] 12.0 km (2:00 / km)
ahr:158 max:166

Did the ride leg of a corporate triathlon for my work team. fun & different. based on my time i assume course wasnt measured very accurately.

Cycling 50:00 [3]

ride from home to triathlon to stromlo for MTBO. was planning to do more training by pulling in controls but they were all in or on there way in when i arrived. too hot to consider further undirected training.

Running long 1:58:04 [3] 21.0 km (5:37 / km)
ahr:143 max:179 shoes: Nike Air Persies3

8am run from my place with Jo, ANna & Irene. Hoggster & Searlo also with us before they went their own way. Went thru cork plantation, up over Dairy farmers, down to Molongolo back past zoo, bike path then up through aranda hill to home. Some protesting from Irene about exactly how long the run was going to be, with her and Anna thinking 90mins. I strung them along till they had no choice and when Irene relised there was a lot of bleating which I admit tugged at my heart strings. Not much complaining last 10mins though so i figure they were satisfied after all.
I felt really good and kept being suprised at how long we'd been running for. think perhaps running in the morn when its a bit cooler helps.

Note

Searlo watch: he ended up doing intervals with Hoggster. when I queried him about this he claimed they were "quasi-fartlek" and that he doesnt have the muscles anymore to do intervals.

Cycling 1:31:42 [3]
ahr:126

Cut-off Tour de Pete. Andys Hogg & Cowie plus return of Kez. Hoggster cut back early due to being soft and his back getting sore (mostly the former not the latter). Beauty of a morning for a ride. Kez & I talked finance & housing.

Running 1:12:03 [3] 11.0 km (6:33 / km)
ahr:130 max:153 shoes: Nike Air Persies3

slow jog home via top of Black Mtn. ran last bit with Hoggster after he had done hills. bit tired. Persies settling in nicely.

Running warm up/down 17:04 [3] 3.0 km (5:41 / km)
ahr:125 max:157 shoes: Nike Air Persies3

warm up for xc. cracked new pair of shoes that I bought at Melb Nike factory outlet last month. Nike Air Persus 3. Didnt feel as sweet when I put them on as usual first shoes but I remember my last pair of Persies took a little while to settle in and were then brilliant.

Running race 20:05 [5] 5.0 km (4:01 / km)
ahr:171 max:180 shoes: Nike Air Persies3

XC at Acton Ferry terminal, round edge of lake to turn around near Carillion. Hot and felt flat. went out ok although not great, turned back to find there was a breeze afterwards. On way back asked some bloke fishing and listening to headphones what cricket score was and he said he wasnt listening. I told him he was unAustralian. Struggled the rest of the way back and was glad Jo was too far back to make a run at me.
Out: 9.44 (166/176)
Back: 10.21 (175/180)

Running warm up/down 13:02 [3] 2.0 km (6:31 / km)
ahr:134 max:160 shoes: Nike Air Persies3

warm down. highlight was Muzza driving by on his way home and yelling cricket scores out the window. Muzza ran well tonight - 19.04 I think.
Searle watch: emailed me and Hoggster during the day to say he had forgotten his gear and was a no-show. He's cracked under weight of expectations.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

home - work - XC - home.

Note
weight:86kg (rest day)

Last day of easy week combined with work-enforced rest meant today was rest day. Depressingly weighed myself this morning and a fortnight of beer drinking, coke drinking and generally eating out has taken its toll. Is december a good time to get back on the diet? Maybe I'll start after the work xmas party on friday....
