Running long 1:14:02 [3] 12.0 km (6:10 / km)
ahr:139 max:164 shoes: Brooks Tractor

Cockatoos long run except the only Cockys there were me and Andy. Felt a bit dizzy & queasy for a lot of the run like when I dont eat anything before a run except this time I had eaten cereal. Toast before the next one. Really nice coffee and raisin toast in Dicko after at cafe la somethingorother.

Note

Highlight of the morning was actually pre-run. Arrived at Hoggsters house at the designated time of 7.30. unusually Hoggster didnt bound out to me but I figured that was coz I was actually on time for once. Knocked on the door and got plenty of response from Pippa-the-dog but not much from the two-legged occupants. Eventually the door was flung open by Nat who immediately burst forth with "Jase what are you doing - its 6.30!!!" It seemed that daylight savings had not come in to effect yet at team hoggster....

Water Running 1:02:00 [3]
ahr:102 max:118

Yes folks you read it here 1st - over an hours water running! Met my fellow part-human-part-fish Tommi Quayle at Chlorine Bowl at 8.50pm and commenced water running. By the time we talked our way through sledging every Australian orienteer (and some overseas) we knew it was 35mins down and we'd almost forgotten to do intervals. Then churned out a session of Monnas finest and thought we'd warm down enough to push through the magic-hour mark which is the equivalent to running for 48 hours straight on land (psychologically speaking).

Running tempo 50:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:33 / km)
ahr:140 max:160 shoes: Asics Kayano

Lunch time run round Bruce Ridge-O'Connor Ridge. Did 10mins worth of 30s-30s in the middle. Tired legs still and was good to get out and continue building running.

Running 33:09 [3] 6.0 km (5:32 / km)
ahr:127 max:148 shoes: Asics Kayano

Cook blob with Searlo only. Tired legs but Searlo dragged me round Gossan Hill & Aranda. I think if I had my way I would've run for about 15 minutes!

Cycling 53:00 [3]

to-and-from work. tired legs.
