Running 25:10 [3] 5.0 km (5:02 / km)
ahr:122 max:138 shoes: Asics GT2120

ANother quick evening escape, this time as relief after not much sleeping from our two girlies.

Wednesday May 28, 2008 #

Running 1:20:05 [3] 16.0 km (5:00 / km)
ahr:140 max:166 shoes: Asics GT2120

Got a morning leave pass and went for a long-ish run. Up along edge of Aranda, through black mtn reserve, past rani rd and up push bike hill to top of black mtn. then back through little black mtn saddle and pretty much straight for home. felt slow and as though have lost a lot of fitness.

Running 24:22 [3] 4.0 km (6:06 / km)
ahr:125 max:154 shoes: Asics GT2120

Running 32:36 [3] 5.0 km (6:31 / km)
ahr:130 max:156 shoes: Asics GT2120

evening crawl round aranda. just trying to get out. its cold!

Wednesday May 21, 2008 #

Running 47:45 [3] 9.0 km (5:18 / km)
ahr:147 max:166 shoes: Asics GT2120

Lunchtime run with RobW and we ran in to Bazorak and Bella so they joined us. From our house looped through Aranda Hill, our new house, Jammo (rob stocked up on air roles from Vietnamese Bakery) and down to ABS. then I jogged home. Saw EcMo playing touch and sledged him beautifully. He won the day when we bumped into each other between ABS and home "G'day Jase, You're looking as heavy as I am at the moment" (going on to tell me how he is 90kgs at the mo). Brilliant.

Cycling 1:05:37 [3] 27.4 km (2:24 / km)
ahr:134 max:164

Lap o the Lake with diversion to Double Shot for coffee. Brisk day, pumped a few of the hills to make sure I got some physical tiredness out of it. Cleared the head.

Saturday May 17, 2008 #

Note
weight:80.5kg

did a lot of pram walking but even i wont stoop to trogging that.

Running 38:18 [3] 7.0 km (5:28 / km)
ahr:116 max:139 shoes: Asics GT2120

Blob winter circuit of Aranda, trying to avoid grasses. Quite relaxing.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

So Sunday I go for a run in the grasses of the Pinnacles and cant sleep that night due to massively blocked sinuses. I go see the Doc on Monday who advises me its grasses giving me the reaction. So what do i do on Wednesday? Why go orienteering in the grasses of Bruce Ridge. I imagine most readers can do the math as to what my sleep and sinuses were like last night. Unfortunately I couldn't do that mind-bending logic-leap yesterday before going to Bruce Ridge.

Cycling 40:00 [3]

to-and-from O. pathetic amount to trog but I'll take it.

Orienteering race 39:14 [4] 5.0 km (7:51 / km)
ahr:140 max:161 shoes: Asics GT2120

Joined the retirees at Bruce Ridge "Community Event". Enjoyed myself trekking round the 5k course. Lots of unmarked MTB tracks and also my map was different to the master map which I used to copy the course down - near one control there was a track on the master but not on my map. Fun trot. Its thickened up a little compared to when I used to do my 40min recovery runs there in the late 90s - more prickly bushes.

Running 43:40 [3] 8.0 km (5:28 / km)
ahr:137 max:152 weight:80.5kg shoes: Asics GT2120

A lap of concrete path loop. Nice day - I was almost hot when running round lunch time. Hayfever better although note-for-self I wonder whether some grass on Mt Painter has anything to do with it. Finished at "the new Jammo" and bought the Canberra Times, Herald-Sun and a Caramello Koala.

Monday May 12, 2008 #

Note
weight:81kg (rest day)

hayfever-allergy flared up big time. possible pinnacle grasses? who knows. went to Doctor and we're going to "hit it hard" with anti-allergy stuff. Morris-the-cat suffers too as his furry-on-our-bed sleeping is off the agenda.

Sunday May 11, 2008 #

Running long 1:24:10 [3] 17.0 km (4:57 / km)
ahr:152 max:174 shoes: Asics GT2120

Longish run with Hoggster. Up Painter then a lap of the Pinnacle. Heard some cracker stories of a young Hoggster diceing with his Dad round the Pinnacle. Cant believe how stuffed I was. I guess sleep and not eating much makes a difference.

Saturday May 10, 2008 #

Running 36:04 [3] 7.0 km (5:09 / km)
ahr:126 max:153 shoes: Asics GT2120

Reverse classic with the Dees and via new place in the early evening. Vendors looked like they'd almost moved everything out. sweet.

Friday May 9, 2008 #

Note
weight:81kg (rest day)

my weight seems to be going down. i can only put this down to lack or eating/snacking during day under new lifestyle. its certainly a better answer than losing muscle. i havent been this light since early 2007 when I went on my New-Years-resolution-piece-of-fruit-per-day-diet.

Thursday May 8, 2008 #

Running tempo 1:10:36 [3] 14.0 km (5:03 / km)
ahr:145 max:175 shoes: Asics GT2120

First normal sort-of training run since mara. Did Crackenback in morning sunshine. Not much strength in surges. Came home via back half of classic course. Sureges:
Crackenback from Andy's start: 12.06
Aranda Hill: 4.18

Tuesday May 6, 2008 #

Running 30:07 [3] 6.0 km (5:01 / km)
ahr:128 max:149 (sick) shoes: Asics GT2120

Evening trot round the old Aranda-winter-blob course. Noone home at the Trewins - or if there was they were sitting in the dark. not full on winter cold but nippy-enough.

Monday May 5, 2008 #

Note
(sick)

sickness in the end-phase.

Running 39:34 [3] 6.0 km (6:36 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2120

Cook Bloab with Dees & Emily. Searlo was wearing these running shorts that had not seen the light of day since the early 90s and probably fitted him then too. Felt ok. We did a nice loop through mcKellar st up the top of Cook and back half of the farm house loop. Also ran down into Macquarie to check out the Walders impressively laid path.

Sunday May 4, 2008 #

Note
(sick)

still struggling. some sign of getting better but twin induced 4hr sleep last night so struggling.

Saturday May 3, 2008 #

Note
slept:5.0 (sick) (rest day)

I'm half-sick. Half chesty, half blocked up, half headachey. am slamming down sinus medication and multivites so thats probably keeping it under control. Of course getting up every 2-3 hours to help feed two babies is not helping it!

Friday May 2, 2008 #

Running 37:47 [3] 7.0 km (5:24 / km)
ahr:135 max:172 shoes: Asics GT2120

Run up Mt Painter and back then down to Jammo to pick up a parcel. Had one of my asthma-like coughs and splutters on way up Painter which adds to my suspicions I am getting sick. Legs felt good, well rested. I even surged the last part of Painter just coz I felt like it. Unheard of.

Thursday May 1, 2008 #

Note
(rest day)

no time.
