5*DS Hills. planned to do 6, felt awful so trimmed it to 4, thought I wasnt to bad so started 5th with plan to do 6th, felt awful and split time dropped away so stuck with 5.

6*90s efforts with scotty. 2nd intervals session since Noosa Arf. felt slow but need to do a few more to get back into it. had run to south oval to do Hugh Fords group but noone there except scotty so we went to North oval. noone there either so we did some laps.

ACT Champs. Cracker tough course set by Hogggster out at Honeysuckle. COld & on-and-off rain added to pleasantness. Aim was to keep pushing and navigate well which I did. Times of winners were very impressive as I ran ok and was miles behind. Actually I ran much better than NSW Champs - ranking points for NSW 558, ranking points for today 92. oh well - i was a loooong way behind today even though it was a good run for me.

Tour de Pete with a big peleton - shep, tq, hoggster, kez, walders *2. was more enjoyable than last time. my cornering is awful but other stuff improved - including the weather!

DS Hills with Hoggster. went to tree beyond usual light pole. Pretty bad times - easily slowest session done there. I guess time off catching up with me. Hopefully wont take too long to get back. Felt abysmal after 1st interval and it just got slower from there - would usually do them in 75.

MTB race 1:50:00 [5]

3hr CORC twilight event. Did pairs with Master Searlo. Dave off first. My lap times:
26.59 (156avg/173max)
26.39 (174avg/222max - obv wrong)
57.03, double lap in the night (160/176)
suprisingly good fun. I was a bit coughy from throat-ghonners and amount of dust. lights worked sweeeeeet.

Note

dogs season over. unfortunately they didnt put their best performance on the park last night - sack the sport psych I say. Weagles also looked too good although my money would be on the Crows next week but I guess its where Liggos money goes that matters.

restriced Cook blob with the Dees. feeling crap and now sound like Barry White. probably shouldn't have run at all and running with Dave in his early-90s purple tights and bright green long sleeved top did not help. Hope i haven't got a case of Tom-Quayle-throat-ghonners.

Knew I wasn't that keen but got about a third of the way into the race and really wondered why. spent middle third convincing myself not to DNF as wasnt too tired and would be good training. Glad I did as beat Nat Smith in our handicapped bet and thus she has to provide me with sympathy in recovering from race. Was a good course on not a bad area.

NSW sprint champs at Mittagong. couple of ordinary 20sec mistakes and then a 2min mistake. arrrgh - hopeless. still havent done much O lately and especially not sprint.
