Easter Day 3. Tired and made bad route choices on the long legs. Managed to hold on to my place as first of the underdogs.

Easter Day 2. Similar story to previous days. A few more little mistakes and a hell of a lot more tired. Mistakes were on #5, #7, #9, #12, and #20. Most of them were little and sorted out pretty quick. 2.30 lost or something like that. Was amused at #12 to see Simon come through with 3 others in tow. I tried something a bit different on the long leg, #13 and left the track NE of #7, trying to get a safer route across the green gullies. It worked okay navigationally but I spent too much time getting through the green. After the long leg I was feeling pretty shattered and was just plodding slowly. Managed to navigate okay just couldn't keep moving. 33min off the pace!

Easter Day 1. Another good run and another slow run. Lost 30s or so at #6 and a little time elsewhere being hesitant but otherwise clean. Was 1min slower than the leaders on the first control!

Event: #NIN3DAYS

Orienteering race 17:51 [4] 3.8 km (4:42 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 Amber/Silver

Easter Prologue. Fun race but a bit of a shock to the system after so little running. Had a pretty decent run, took a wrong a route choice at #12, and a couple of momentary hesitations, including at #20 trying to work out the which level it was on. I was pleased my flow, particularly through the very detailed section, although I was lucky on #6 when I didn't check the description and it was on the side of the wall I thought it was. So 20s lost at most but well down on running speed.
