Easy course at Stockyard Ck with the boy. It was all going well, we were burning lots of 'FIRE ROCKETS!!!', then we hit the grassy patch under the power line that was hiding lots of spear grass and other nasties and the pace dropped as we dealt with seed retrieval from socks, shorts and shoes and negotiated several piggy back arrangements.

Easy jog to test out my heel and calf. Ran up to the reservoir but then ran into Clare walking Oscar so did a lap and a half chatting to her before jogging home. Ice and muscle release seems to have helped but I could feel the heel until I was nearly home.

Changed things around a bit and ran from school drop-off to work. Glutes were feeling awesome after some release work last night but left achilles is starting to complain and right at the end I could feel my left calf tightening up so bailed on the last hill into my office.

Uni to Uni run to visit the physio about my hips/groin. The treatment plan can be summarised as administer pain and see what happens, leading to the least enjoyable 15min with a man's hand in my groin ever ... also the only 15min so no crude jokes please.

It turns out my old physio has gone to greener pastures with the Brisbane Lions but I had an interesting conversation with my new physio about work he did in the past with the Lions on athlete recovery.

4 x 1km with 2-3min jog/walk recovery at UQ with Anna and James. I'd planned for 6 but left Achilles was starting to feel tight so called it early. Times were a little inconsistent but I think there's a little climb I'm the direction we ran the 1st and 3rd.
