Spent 5 hours down in Fig Tree Pocket this morning helping out in various ways: packing up kitchen stuff, stripping houses out, pumping pools, and ripping out fences. There's still a lot to be done but if the horde of volunteers persists all this basic work will get done pretty quick I reckon.
A bit of a tour with Anna to check out Gardens Point where Cyclones are supposed to be organising a Park-O next weekend. While neither appear to be badly affected both are closed to the public at the moment. Elsewhere is characterised by mud and debris. A bit smelly in places but not as bad the smell around Canberra the day after the 2003 bushfire.
