Running long 1:20:00 [3] 15.4 km (5:12 / km) +400m 4:36 / km
shoes: Adidas Supernova Cushion 7

Cyclones long run from Bridget's in the Gap with a good group. Lagged a bit at the begging but caught the boys at the front after about 3km but felt pretty weak on the hills and it was real struggle to keep moving. After Gap Ck car park decided I would push up Quail Tr thinking it was the last climb. After completely wiping myself by the time I reached Highwood Rd, I discovered there was bit more climbing to be done but the legs had nothing left. Good run though, nice recovery in the Anderson's pool and a beaut cooked breaky.

Orienteering race 18:50 [5] *** 3.1 km (6:05 / km)
spiked:9/15c shoes: Asics DS Trainer 13

Cyclones Race HQ sprint at Garden's Point. I was feeling tired and wasn't really focussed on the orienteering so lost a fair bit of time on several controls amounting to about 1.30. The biggest mistake was 40s on #6 because I hadn't picked left or right until the last minute, picked wrong, and then got confused on the boardwalk. Possibly even more stupid was 15s on #15 where instead of running straight ahead out of #14 through the garden mapped as white I ran back and around thinking it was out-of-bounds ...

Cycling (Commute) 37:00 [4] 13.5 km (21.9 kph) +120m

Homeward bound. Feeling pretty good on the bike; I didn't seem to be getting as puffed as usual. Time wasn't all that flash for the effort I thought I was putting in though. Was shaky and weak afterwards so perhaps I hadn't eaten enough.
